He had surgery in August and was expected to miss the entire season. If he is granted a medical hardship waiver, he will have one year of eligibility remaining. Sciury was a key contributor for the Red Raiders in 2021, catching 33 passes for 393 yards and three touchdowns. He was also a valuable member of the special teams unit, returning 12 punts for 104 yards. Sciury's return would be a big boost for the Red Raiders, who are looking to improve on their 5-7 record from 2022. The Red Raiders have a lot of experience at the wide receiver position, but Sciury would add depth and playmaking ability. "He's a great player," McGuire said.
